Compress images without losing quality

Compressing a photo without losing quality means reducing the file size so the difference is visually unnoticeable. Sevio uses soft compression at 90% quality: the file becomes 30–60% lighter while staying visually indistinguishable from the original, even on a large screen. No sign-up, processed in seconds.

Upload up to 20 images at once with a total size of up to 30 MB — completely free, no sign-up required. Create an account or to compress up to 30 images with a total size of up to 50 MB.

“Without losing quality” vs. lossless — the difference

In everyday use, “compress without losing quality” means making the file lighter so that no difference is visible. Technically that is lossy compression: some data is discarded, but at 90% quality the result cannot be told apart from the original by eye.

True lossless compression keeps every pixel but barely reduces the weight of photographs — it is effective mainly for PNG graphics with flat colors. For photos, the practical choice is visually lossless compression; save true lossless for logos and screenshots.

Frequently asked questions

No. “Without losing quality” here means visually lossless compression at 90% quality. True lossless barely reduces photo size and applies mainly to PNG graphics.
Usually by 30–60% depending on the source image. Camera photos compress more; already-optimized files compress less.
JPG and WebP up to 20 MB are compressed right in your browser and never leave your device. Larger files and other formats (PNG, AVIF, HEIC) are processed on the server and deleted automatically after processing.
