Terms of Service

1. The Service

Sevio provides online image tools that compress, convert, and resize images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, HEIC). The Service is available to guests (anonymous users) and to registered users, with different usage limits.

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

2. Accounts

• You may register with an email and password, or sign in with Google.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must verify your email address to access certain features.
• You can review and terminate active sessions/devices in your security settings.
• By using the Service, you confirm that you are old enough to use online services in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to upload and process only content that you own or are authorized to use. You must not:

• Upload illegal content, or content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
• Circumvent usage limits, quotas, rate limits, or anti-abuse mechanisms;
• Use automated means to access the Service at scale in a way that places an excessive load on our infrastructure;
• Use the Service to violate any applicable law.

Reviews. If you submit a review, it is published publicly on the Service after moderation and must reflect your own genuine experience. You must not post abusive, defamatory, misleading, or spam content, or include other people's personal data. We may reject or remove any review, or anonymize it, at our discretion.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

4. Usage Limits, Credits and Payments

• The Service enforces daily operation quotas and a cap on concurrent processing jobs.
• Limits differ between guests, unverified accounts, and verified accounts.
• Quotas and limits may change over time, including for guest and account usage.

Credits & pricing. Sevio sells prepaid credits (1 credit = 1 processed image) as one-time purchases; no subscription. Credits do not expire while the account exists. A free daily quota is available without payment. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page.

Payments — Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, billing enquiries, applicable taxes (VAT/sales tax) and refunds; Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to apply additional limits or protective measures if we detect abuse, automated, or anomalous use of the Service.

5. File Handling and Retention

Important: processed files are temporary.

• Some optimizations (smaller JPEG and WebP files) are performed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
• Files processed on our servers are typically deleted automatically shortly after processing and are retained only for a limited time; download links also remain valid for a limited period.
• You are solely responsible for downloading your results in good time. We are not liable for files that are no longer available after automatic deletion.

We do not guarantee that any file will be retained beyond this window, and we are not a backup or storage service. Retention periods may vary depending on technical and operational conditions.

6. Intellectual Property

• You retain all rights to the images you upload. You grant us only the limited, temporary rights needed to process and deliver your files (to store, transform, and serve them to you for the brief retention window described in Section 5).
• The Service itself, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Sevio and its licensors.

7. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To operate the Service, we may use third-party infrastructure and service providers, including cloud storage, payment processing, email delivery, and authentication; such providers process data only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant features. We are not liable for delays or failure to provide the Service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including outages of hosting providers, network failures, acts of third parties, or other events.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the processing result will fully match your expectations or be error-free, or that any file will be preserved.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sevio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or files (including files removed by automatic deletion). Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We are also not responsible for third-party websites or services you access through the Service, for unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure, or for any damage or loss arising from a misunderstanding of these Terms, our instructions, or technical aspects of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or to comply with law. You can delete your account yourself at any time directly from your profile, or request account deletion by contacting support@sevio.tech

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
