When you should not convert to WebP
If the photo is going into an e-mail attachment or a system that only accepts JPG (legacy CMSes, some upload forms), keep it as JPEG — it opens absolutely everywhere. For website images, WebP is the safe default: all modern browsers support it, and pages load faster with it.
